5 inch heels, Watermelon & Apps

Why are these all relevant?

  • I wore 5 inch heels to work… for the second day in a row… A foot massage would be clutch on so many levels… and I don’t even like people touching my feet
  • My dad brought a watermelon back from his trip on Saturday… it is divine… and more than halfway gone… which is mostly my doing
  • I found this app in the Playstore… my phone is officially badass… I don’t care what anyone says about iPhones… the love between myself and my phone has been rekindled
  • Pretty sure I won the competition for best dressed at work… Yay me
  • Not sure how I want to paint my nails
  • On another note… Not sure if it’s the new job or if I’m feeling inspired but I have been seeing my closet in a new light…
  • Now I need to think of how to make the khakis and tees I wear for my other job a but less de rigeur
  • Still no gift for the sister… I was going with jewelry but I already got that for her this year
  • I need a night out in the near future… that shouldn’t be too hard
That is why it is so important to let certain things go. To release them. To cut loose. People need to understand that no one is playing marked cards; sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Don’t expect to get anything back, don’t expect recognition for your efforts, don’t expect your genius to be discovered or your love to be understood. Complete the circle. Not out of pride, inability, or arrogance, but simply because whatever it is no longer fits in your life. Close the door, change the record, clean the house, get rid of the dust. Stop being who you were and become who you are.
